Why is it good to avoid dairy and lactose in general? Infants and children produce enzymes that break down the lactose found in breast milk and cow’s milk, but as we age, many of us lose this ability. Lactose intolerance is common, as it affects the largest portion of the population. A vegan diet and a vegan product improve the environment and our future.
Plant-based diets that focus on fruits, vegetables, grains and beans, but also on plant-based products in general, help protect the planet. A global shift to a plant-based diet could reduce mortality and greenhouse gases caused by food production by 70% by 2050. A report from the United Nations Environment Program says that “animal products, both meat and and dairy, generally require more resources and cause higher emissions than plant-based alternatives.”The World Health Organization states: “Reducing animal herds would also reduce emissions of methane, which is the second largest contributor to global warming after carbon dioxide”.

What is Chufa?
Chufa, also called “land almond”, is a perennial plant of the sage family that looks like a small green bush. The taste and aroma of chufa is reminiscent of almond. The chufa leaves are used to make rope and paper, while the chufa root has a very sweet taste and is used to make dairy-free and allergen-free chocolate. Finally, the chufa root is rich in magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and vitamins.
Did you know that most vegan products with sugar are usually not always really vegan? This is because the sugar purification method uses animal by-products. Now you can enjoy the dairy-free, 100% vegan chocolate with chufa. Chufa is a type of plant whose root has vitamins, trace elements and a sweet taste. So we can take the root and make a chocolate 100% plant based, without dairy and allergens with the most delicious taste.
